History of Colombia

The historic process of the Republic of Colombia during the 20^th Century is the theme of this research area. The organic relationship that historically Colombia has held with Venezuela – and which has grown during the second half of the century - makes it necessary to understand Colombia's major problems. The challenge of integration and overcoming territorial borders issues in the most dynamic frontier for both countries constitutes a call for research on Colombian development and comparative studies.
