Founded in 1971. The university is located in the city of Bremen, capital of the State of Bremen, North West of Germany. The University stands out for its reputation in the fields of mechanical engineering, digital media, physics, mathematics, microbiology, Geosciences (particularly the Navy) and law (especially European). She was awarded the title of the German Science Foundation (chosen für die Deutsche Wissenschaft) "Stadt der Wissenschaft 2005" which won together with the prize of politics, business and culture for Bremen and Bremerhaven. Offers pre-and postgraduate courses in the areas of: Physics/electrical engineering; Biology/Chemistry; Computer math/science; Engineering production - engineering mechanics and processes; Geosciences; Law, business and Economics studies; Social Sciences; Cultural studies; Studies linguistic and literary; Human Sciences and health; Pedagogy and educational sciences.
