The first aspect that must be developed in any research is the balance of what has been written until this moment in the subject. The historian must know the implications that currently govern the problem, as well as the previous and opposing considerations. Then, he or she will know whether his/her proposal can be considered a novelty or if it just repeats tiresome arguments. An historian requires a theorical and methodological instrument capable of critically evaluating the work of other historians from the past or the present. This research area is expected to contribute to this aspect.
