Definition
Campus internationalization or internationalization at home refers to developing initiatives intended to integrate the international dimension into three fundamental areas regarding university activities: teaching (curricular development), research, and extension. University extension refers to university services offered to business enterprises, and development of programs and projects in order to improve the quality of life of communities under social disadvantage. Campus internationalization benefits a greater number of students, faculty members, and employees than the number of students taking part in programs specifically designed for international mobility.
