    DEFINITION

    Curriculum internationalization is defined as a series of strategies and actions, established on the institutional formation project, directed to attaining a curriculum that enables local and international students to develop personally and professionally, within international and multicultural contexts.
     

    STRATEGIES

    - Promote foreign language learning / to require proficiency in foreign languages
    - Define learning objectives intended to develop international and intercultural competences such as acceptance of cultural diversity, cooperation, negotiation and teamwork
    - Use teaching/learning methodologies involving: interdisciplinarity; comparing local situations vs. similar situations in international contexts and possible application to local cases; self-reflection on their own culture; and field trips
    - Enhance teamwork and the use of information and communication technologies for information exchange and networking along with overseas students
    - Assign selected bibliography in other languages
    - Address the consultation of bibliography in other languages
    - Design creative methods in order to assess learning skills related to analysis, hierarchy, connection, and integration of information, enabling students to acquire an integral and interdisciplinary vision of their reality, and its relation to the realities of other countries
    Integrate international students into campus and acknowledge their presence as information source at courses
    - Promote the participation of visiting faculty members
    - Designing and offering new internationally-oriented programs
    - Develop double-degree programs along with overseas universities
